What Is A Sewage Treatment Plant?

Sewage treatment, or domestic wastewater treatment, is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater and household sewage, both runoff (effluents) and domestic. It includes physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove physical, chemical and biological contaminants. Its objective is to produce a waste stream (or treated effluent) and a solid waste or sludge suitable for discharge or reuse back into the environment. This material is often inadvertently contaminated with many toxic organic and inorganic compounds.

Efficient Sewage Treatment Plant

The Bio Bubble Package Sewage Treatment Plants have been designed and manufactured in accordance with B.S. 6297 for the effective treatment of sewage where mainline drainage is not accessible and waste effluent of a much higher standard than that obtained from a septic tank is required.

Three Stage Sewage Treatment Plant

The 8-population Bio-Bubble Sewage Treatment Plant is a completely self-contained three-stage unit installed below ground with only a small air blower housing and one access cover showing flush with the surface. The unit comes complete with lockable covers and adjustable access shafts to ease installation and suit differing site conditions. Effective air transfer through fine bubble diffusers, fitted in the aeration chamber, creates the ideal environment for biomass to form - ensuring excellent aerobic breakdown. The tanks are constructed using Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP).

All our Sewage Treatment Plants are sized and designed to perform better than the standard effluent quality requirement of 20mg/l Biochemical Oxygen Demand (B.O.D.) and 30mg/l Suspended Solids (S.S.). The Bio Bubble system can also be retrofitted to improve the discharge from standard septic tanks.
